“Stones to throw” is an installation by Ahmet Öğüt, which has been extended to public space. Öğüt painted on 10 stones that feature the same paintings seen on military airplanes. During a show at Kunsthalle Lissabon nine of the stones were sent to Diyarbakır, the artists hometown, one by one and left in the street there. Ahmet Öğüt decided not to send the last stone, so it actually becomes the physical documentation of the other stones that disappeared in the streets of Diyarbakır.
